Hi, I’m Kelsey and I’m so happy you found me!
I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) based in London Ontario, Canada. I have been working as an RD since 2013, primarily in acute care settings. For the past six years I have been working in a community hospital in Southwestern Ontario. I love my job, but it has always been my dream to start a private practice, and after completing my Masters of Science degree in spring of 2020 I decided there was no better time than the present! Although I consider myself a “general” dietitian as I see patients with a very wide variety of needs in my daily practice, my passion is gut health. I am a believer that our gut health plays a fundamental role in our overall health and well-being. I named my business Gut Healthy Dietitian to help you get healthy through optimizing your gut health, the core to our general health.

At Gut Healthy Dietitian you will find blogs on the latest nutrition information, an education hub where I break down the most up-to-date gut health focused nutrition research and simple, nourishing recipes to support a healthy lifestyle.
I use a combination of mindful and intuitive eating practices to guide you on how to use nutrition to support your overall health and wellbeing. My purpose is to support you in nourishing your body in a way that is sustainable as well as enjoyable – food and eating should be a joyful experience!
Obesity continues to be one of the most significant health concerns of the 21st century, and rates continue to rise across North America despite countless resources dedicated to helping us lose weight. As a practicing RD, one of my biggest frustrations has been watching my clients experience limited success in losing weight and the constant influx of conflicting information and at times dangerous fad diets. After researching the gut microbiota extensively during my Master’s degree, I learned that through the optimization of our gut health we may be able to promote sustainable weight loss – without the deprivation that is usually associated with other diets and eating plans. I have become obsessed with maximizing gut health as a means to support overall health and wellness. By shifting our focus from restriction to adding beneficial foods to my diet, we can improve our relationship with food and shift to a healthier mindset.
I am passionate about helping others improve their nutrition and apply a holistic approach to health and wellness. By focusing on optimizing the function of our gut microbiota we can positively impact our digestion, mental health, immunity and metabolism rather than obsessing over the number on the scale.
